About the
Association
The departments listed
within this web site of the Concho Valley area proudly covers and protects over 350,000 +
people living in an area of 580,000+ square miles. These departments operate out of 30+
stations that protect a primarily suburban and rural county areas. These departments are
all public departments whose members are a combination of both paid and volunteer status.
Tom Green County is just
one of the 254 counties within the Great State of Texas and located in what everyone calls the Great West Texas
Region within the Hill Country and West Texas Plains area of the state.
Our Mission
The Concho Valley Fire
Fighters Association was organized for the sole purpose in assisting the promotion of fire
prevention and through the strength of acquiring funds and equipment and other assistance
from federal, state, county and city governments, as well as support from the general
public. In working to assist all volunteer departments and all other member department and
associates in passing on any and all information, working on training and updates from
NFPA, IFSTA, OSHA and other agencies that are of interest to all firefighters, EMS
personnel and departments.
The primary mission for
all departments listed in this web site is to provide information, training, and assists
to all the area emergency service departments, to provide the highest quality fire,
rescue, medical service, police, security and any other services as necessary, to all the
citizens within Tom Green County, the Concho Valley and the City of San Angelo area and to
enhance the overall training and safety awareness programs within each of those
communities and within each of our departments.
Volunteer
All the area volunteer organizations listed in this web site are always looking for
personnel to be members or support staff of those great groups who wish to be a part of a growing feeling to volunteer
and help
out their comminutes. Please call one of your local departments close to you and
volunteer. We
can all make a difference.
