Each of the emergency departments listed, offers excellent opportunities for qualified persons to become a part of one of the outstanding departments in the county and the country. Everyone will be given extensive instruction during their recruit training and apprenticeship in both paid / volunteer departments in fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention or emergency communications.

 With serve the large population within the West Texas area, the citizens depend on the service these emergency departments provide to their communities. The with many types of services and pieces of equipment, from fire engines, ladder trucks, rescue units, crash fire rescue, hazardous materials units, technical search & rescue units, and EMS units, that have qualified men and women daily who are willing to commit themselves to provide to the citizens of the Concho Valley, service they have come to expect.

 The Federal Fire and Aviation Safety Team (FFAST) encourages every fire program to become involved in Six Minutes for Safety. This is the first interagency safety initiative that, on a daily basis, addresses the high risk situations that historically get our people in trouble. The fire community continuously works to find new ways to keep our people safe on the fire line, and we think this new initiative will have a tremendous positive impact. Please Check It Out....
