Welcome everyone to the home web site of the many volunteer and paid fire, medical emergency, search & rescue, first responder units, sheriffs, city police and other emergency departments and services within Tom Green County, the City of San Angelo. and The Concho Valley.Please take a few minutes to browse through the following pages to learn more about the departments and the services each one provides to the varies counties, cities and towns that are serviced by them. Those departments are there to serve all the citizens within those counties to the best that they can offer. The threat of structure fires, EMS calls, search & rescue, grass/brush fires, and any other type of calls that we as paid or volunteers may have to respond to, will always be there with us.
All of the emergency departments within this web site, are looking for good men and women interested in becoming firefighter / paramedics, fire prevention officers and communications specialists. You could become part of a professionally trained teams listed in this web site. Each of the emergency departments listed, offers excellent opportunities for qualified persons to become a part of one of the outstanding departments in the county and the country. Everyone will be given extensive instruction during their recruit training and apprenticeship in both paid / volunteer departments in fire suppression, emergency medical services, fire prevention or emergency communications. The with many types of services and pieces of equipment, from fire engines, ladder trucks, rescue units, crash fire rescue, hazardous materials units, technical search & rescue units, and EMS units, that have qualified men and women daily who are willing to commit themselves to provide to the citizens of the Concho Valley, service they have come to expect. The Federal Fire and Aviation Safety Team (FFAST) encourages every fire program to become involved in Six Minutes for Safety. This is the first interagency safety initiative that, on a daily basis, addresses the high risk situations that historically get our people in trouble.
